Mentors

This page is dedicated to the people who have helped me throughout this whole process. My mentors are well educated with information on the Pomperaug River Watershed and the factors that play into the water quality.

Carol Haskins

Carol uses both science and education to protect and improve the high quality water in the nine watershed communities. Carol Haskins joined Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition as Outreach Director in 2008 after receiving her Master of Science in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England. Her extraordinary contributions to river education and community engagement have been widely recognized.  She was recently awarded the "River Conservation Leadership Award" from the Housatonic Valley Association and honored with the North West Conservation District "Conservation Educator Award". She professionally is able to share her passion for aquatic environments by teaching other people about the way and wonder of the watershed.

Mr. Trevor Becker

Mr. Becker is a Biology, Environmental Science, Field Biology and Marine Biology teacher at Pomperaug High School. He is well educated with the Watershed of the Pomperaug River and has done multiple macroinvertebrate samples in past years.
